CONTEST RULES
COMPETITION DESCRIPTION/WINNER SELECTION: Compose and post an essay on your blog about “Why I want to visit Belize” (max 800 words). Each month the most creative blog entry will win a complimentary 4 night stay at Royal Caribbean Resort, Belize ($500 value. Airfare not included.)
HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Copy and paste the code on the blog competition page into your blog – it will appear as a button on your site. Click the button once it’s on your blog to register your entry. This will notify RCR to review your posting. By posting the RCR button, you agree to the below listed terms and conditions of this competition.
VALIDITY: The prize is valid for 14 months from the date the winning notice is posted on the winner’s blog.
TERMS & CONDITIONS OF CONTEST
1) ELIGIBILITY: This Competition is open to individuals 18 years of age or older at time of entry.
2) GENERAL CONDITIONS: submissions must be executed solely by entrant. If selected as a winner, the entrant represents that he or she has created and owns the submission and has sole rights to the submission such that it can be publicly posted under their blog name and there are no restrictions on the submission in any way. Entry submissions cannot defame or invade publicity rights or privacy of any person, living or deceased, or otherwise infringe upon any person's personal or proprietary rights. Entry submissions considered offensive will not be eligible to win. Permission is granted to Royal Caribbean Resort to promote and disclose Competition Winners in perpetuity in any medium it may see fit including, but not limited to, website, television, radio and/or printed materials. Entrants agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules, Terms & Conditions. This Competition shall be governed by the laws of Belize, and participants in the Competition hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of Belize courts for any causes or controversies arising out of the Competition. By entering, participants release and hold harmless Royal Caribbean Resort Ltd. and its respective subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotions agencies, and all of their employees, officers, directors, and agents (collectively, "Releasees") from any and all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this Competition, the use of any entry, or the acceptance or use of any prize won.
3) LANGUAGE: All entries must be in English.
4) INTERNET: If for any reason this Competition is not capable of running as planned due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, uploads of malicious files or viruses, or any other causes beyond the control of Royal Caribbean Resort Ltd. which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Competition, Royal Caribbean Resort reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any entry or any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition and select winners using all eligible, non-suspect entries received as of the date of termination. Releasees assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Releasees are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in this competition or downloading any materials in this competition. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE COMPETITION IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, ROYAL CARIBBEAN RESORT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON (S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
